New version of iTouch Catalog app released

Posted on 14th September 2011 in Uncategorized

We have released the new version of the iTouch Catalog application today. The newly added features will help catalog owners manage the catalog efficiently and make it appear more attractive. A customized theme for the Owner Info page in the web application will now be possible. Catalog owner can choose a theme color and a background image which will be reflected in the iOS. Also, each product can now have up to three images to give a precise idea of the products to users.

Another useful feature is the preview of the catalog. Catalog owners can now have a preview of how the Owner Info, Catalog List and the Product Detail views look in the iPad/iPhone app before even publishing it. It’s also possible to import the catalog information, categories and product details in Excel sheet from the backend. If companies need a bulk import of their catalog data, they can simply contact us.

For the app users, browsing feature has been updated. Users can now browse products by thumbnail along with the list view. Also, in the Browse by Company view, users can now browse by actual companies.

With the valuable feedbacks we receive from the registered users of the iTouch Catalog, we are constantly exploring ways to improve the iPad/iPhone catalog app so that our users get the most out of it.
Please upgrade your application in your iPhone/iPad device to use the new features which are specially developed to enhance your user’s experience. Don’t forget to check the new web app and fill information about the company.

Now in Beta: XE-files runs applications as native apps on your iPad / iPhone!

Posted on 25th March 2011 in News Updates

Apple is a huge success in the Smartphone industry and with the introduction of the iPad it became even more popular. You find thousands of applications and hundreds are added every day In the iTunes store. But these applications are mainly focused on individuals. Serious business applications are still hard to find. And this has a reason.

The programming language of Apple is Objective-C is completely different than most other languages, and also Prrogress ABL is from a totally different world. So building an application to connect to your Progress Database / Backend system is quite difficult and costly.

Until now! :
Javra Software has extended the X/E-files with an iPhone / iPad Business App Builder, , written in Objective-C. In fact in the same way as we did for other GUI interfaces we support, like .NET. So now you can design and build your iPhone applications in Progress ABL, with the events written in Progress ABL, and run it as native application on your iPhone and iPad !

Shock your organization with building a completely dynamical iPhone/iPad application without the need of spending many months of learning Apple technology. Just build it with Progress and run it on your Apple device.
